- Her full name is Gwen Jane Harlow.
- She is an extremely heavy smoker and has been known to finish a pack in a day. She also wears nicotine patches when she's not allowed to smoke where she's at.
- She prefers the Ilaan cigarettes more than the ones found on Earth. She began to cough uncontrollably, then threw away the pack of cigarettes, then said, "These are the worst!".
- She's been smoking since she was 16, and said that she "was poor and had nothing to offer for them (the cigarettes) other than myself", implying that she may have been performing sexual favors for her cigarettes.
- It's believed that she may be having an affair with her boss, Greg Manne. Though the both of them are very adamant that this is not the case, even offering "$10,000 cash for the death of the people who wrote these lies!" for comments made in blog posts.
- She is a grey-colored coyote with graying red hair, and with green eyes.
- She is one of four Ilaans employed at Free Man Insurance and Law.
- She wears a choker with a small amethyst pear set in silver that her mother gave her when she was younger. Many people call it a "collar", in reference to her being an Ilaan, to which she is confused about because the word "collar" in Ilaan culture only refers to a shirt collar. Collars on pets are referred to as "tags".
